STEPS TO TAKE BEFORE YOU LEAVE YOUR COUNTRY:
- Apply for and get a student visa at a Russian consulate or visa center in your home country (single-entry visa; up to 90 days duration). Email a scan/photo of the visa to International Prep Year Office.
- Оbtain a medical insurance policy, which will cover your entire period of stay in Russia. You can choose from the ones presented here.
- Get a health certificate signed and stamped by your physician in order to check into the dormitory.
- Check that your arrival date is no later than 30 days before your visa expiry date.
- Plan your arrival in time for dormitory check-in start date (September 20th).
- Fill in the arrival date in your International Prep Year personal account 1 week before arrival.
- Request a buddy and get contacted by him/her.
- Check how to get to HSE dormitory or any other place of your residence from the airport (or train station): Aeroexpress metro, or taxi.
- Check the location of International Prep Year office (Pokrovsky Boulevard, building 11, Korpus D, office D-601).
- Check with your bank the maximum cash amount you can withdraw in Russia.
