STEPS TO TAKE BEFORE YOU LEAVE YOUR COUNTRY:
- Apply for and receive a student visa at a Russian consulate or visa center in your home country (single-entry visa; up to 90 days duration). Send a scan/photo of the visa to International Prep Year Office.
- Оbtain a medical insurance policy before entry to Russia, which will cover your entire period of stay and include a medical check-up and testing for HIV, Hepatitis B, and COVID-19 (PCR-method).International students can purchase a medical insurance from the representatives of the insurance companies recommended by HSE University.Find out more here.
- Get a health certificate signed and stamped by your physician in order to check into the dormitory.
- Check that your arrival date is no later than 30 days before the expiry date of your visa.
- Make sure to email International Prep Year office about your arrival date 14 days in advance.
- Request a buddy and get contacted by him/her.
- Check how to get to HSE dormitory or any other place of your residence from the airport (or train station): Aeroexpress metro, or taxi.
- Make sure that you have all necessary Enrollment documents.
- Check Russian customs regulations and your airline luggage regulations.

- Get acquainted with the HSE University’s Internal Dormitory Regulations and Tenancy Agreement .
- Check with your bank the maximum cash amount you can withdraw in Russia.

- Make sure to have enough battery power on all your devices upon arrival to Moscow.
