Pre-University Russian Language Programme

  • Category of students: Russian Government Scholarship Holders. Completion of the Pre-University Russian Language Programme becomes mandatory, if a scholarship applicant requests it in the scholarship Application form.
  • Mode of study: OFFLINE
  • Schedule: 5 days a week, 6-8 hours a day. Сlass sizes: Russian language (about 12 people), Subject areas:  (up to 20 people).
  • Enrollment period: October 2024– August 2025. Final Assessment - June 2025. 
  • Arrivals expected: around September 20-25th
  • Enrollment week: September 25 – 30, 2024. Learn more here.
  • Dormitory check-ins start date: September 25th, 2024. No option to choose a dorm. Places in the dormitories are disributed randomly based on availability. Dormitory referral is emailed to a student a week in advance of arrival.
  • Visa: your visa invite will be issued by the Russian Ministry of Education (not the university). You should be looking for it (a 6-digit number) in your personal account at https://russia-edu.minobrnauki.gov.ru/. Once it is available, you can apply for the study visa at the Russian Embassy/Consulate in your home country.
  • Costs not covered by the scholarship: visa costs, dormitory accommodation, medical insurance, training materials.
  • Social (transporation) card: not provided during the preparatory course study.

Detailed course description 

Certificate of Completion:

After completing the course, students take exams in Russian and all subjects under selected academic track. Students, who pass their exams successfully, receive Certificate of Completion and will transfer to a full-degree study. A scholarship student, who fails to complete the preparatory course will not be able to move to studies in the main program.
